More than half a million people are being notified by the Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA), the state’s largest public-sector union, that hackers took their personal data in a security breach that occurred in July 2024.
Teachers, support staff, higher education employees, nurses, retired educators, and aspiring teachers are among the more than 178,000 education professionals that the union represents.
PSEA said in breach notification letters addressed to 517,487 people that on or around July 6, 2024, a security incident occurred that affected our network environment.
