Hackers Using Free QuickBooks Account to Create, Send Fake Invoices
During the 2023 tax season, a fresh phishing attempt was discovered in which hackers created a free QuickBooks account and used it to generate phoney invoices.
According to Avanan, a division of Check Point Software Technologies, this is the case. The scam is referred known as BEC 3.0, or business email compromise. This method has already been exposed in PayPal, Google, and other places. Intuit created and sells the accounting software suite known as QuickBooks.
