FCC Bans Foreign-Made Drones and Key Parts Over U.S. National Security Risks

Citing national security concerns, the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) declared on Monday that all drones and essential parts manufactured abroad would be prohibited. In accordance with the 2025 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), the government has expanded its Covered List to include all communications and video surveillance equipment and services, as well as unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and UAS key components manufactured abroad. This action will prevent drones manufactured in China, such those built by DJI and Autel Robotics, from being sold in the United States.
