Three Russian-German Nationals Charged with Espionage for Russian Secret Service

Three Russian-German citizens have been charged by German prosecutors with serving as Russian secret service agents.

It has been said that Dieter S., Alexander J., and Alex D. are employees of a foreign secret agency. In order to jeopardize national security, Dieter S. is also accused of taking photographs of military facilities and taking part in sabotage actions.

Dieter S. and Alexander J. were initially detained on espionage allegations by the Federal Criminal Police Office (also known as the Bundeskriminalamt or BKA). Dieter S. was also accused in late October 2024 of being a member of a Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) armed force.
