ToddyCat hackers use ‘disposable’ malware to target Asian telecoms

Using a wide range of “disposable” malware to avoid detection, a recently found operation named “Stayin’ Alive” has been targeting government agencies and telecom service providers throughout Asia since 2021.

While the effort is still in progress, the majority of the targets that cybersecurity company Check Point has observed are located in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, and Vietnam.
