WhatsApp now supports multiple phones under one account

Users may now group up to four phones under one WhatsApp account, a “highly requested” feature that is identical to the existing support for web browsers, tablets, and desktops.

With independent connections made by each linked phone to WhatsApp, end-to-end message, media, and call encryption is guaranteed. If their “primary” device is inactive for an extended period of time, users will be automatically logged out of any companion devices.
