Another US Congressman reveals emails hacked by China

In connection with Microsoft’s recently revealed Chinese cyber espionage programme, a Nebraska congressman who is also a member of the House Armed Services Committee said that his email accounts were also compromised.

Don Bacon, a Republican congressman from Nebraska, made the announcement late on Monday after claiming FBI agents had notified him that the Chinese hacking event had penetrated both his political and personal email accounts.

The Chinese Communist Party allegedly had access to Bacon’s accounts for nearly a month, ending on June 16th, according to the FBI.
